   Description     Biography     Influences
I want everyone to walk away feeling good," he confesses – and believes, "There are pivotal songs in everyone's lives, songs that have special meaning and stay with you." earBuzz Review:
Sal Belloise is the traveling musician you often read about, or see in the movies. He's been on the road gigging since the sixties, and it's obvious he loves what he does. The South in Me is Belloise's seeming tribute to his roots. Armed with his guitar and voice (along with a supporting band), Belloise's sound is the culmination of all his influences and road tripping experiences. "All Your Love"; the song that opens the album, sounds like a dash of the Grateful Dead and the Steve Miller band, peppered with a little southern flavor. "This Boat" bounces a little more like the Dave Matthews Band. The title track is a bit mellower with a southern sway, sounding a bit like a Don Williams song. "Never Let the Sun" boogies a little more, sounding like a combination of Little Feat and the Dead (yes, there is a constant there). Belloise flexes his story-telling abilities on "Down in Mexico"; sounding like a true road musician. He seals the album with "Welcome to My Dot Com"; a country stab at the disconnect between the artist and cyberspace. The message is plain: Experiencing live music is the only way to truly feel it. MM
