Jeffrey Michael's "Reflections" record approaches the Yanni/John Tesh world of string matched piano dramatic instrumental music. The track "Echoes" whets our tastes a bit - as the air of Michael's playing returns. The record is worth the price of admission if just for Michael's dedication to what must be one of his primary influences from the classical world. "Pachelbel Canon Variations" is given a power and solace with the accompanied strings which soars beautifully. "Road to Bonifacio" (also on the "Awakenings" record) is recorded with 10x the bravado as the previously heard version - it races emotionally and with purpose and we are cheering on the artist.
